Pricing from August 2024
Here are the details regarding our pricing and additional services:
- School visits are priced at $95 per student. However, please note that the minimum cost for a single-day school visit is $7500.
- Let's consider some examples to illustrate the costs:
- If 80 students visit the dome, the total cost would be 80 x $95 = $7600.
- If 120 students visit the dome, the total cost would be 120 x $95 = $11,400
- In the case of 50 students visiting the dome, the total cost would be 50 x$95 =$4750. However, since this falls below our minimum charge, the school would still be invoiced $7500.
- For school visits with 200 students or more, the cost per student decreases to $90.
- It's worth noting that scheduling a full-day visit can be more cost-effective for your school compared to splitting sessions over multiple days. The overall cost depends on the number of students and sessions.
- Any additional setup or movement of the dome during the school day, such as changing locations or using it as a lunch base, incurs an extra charge of $1500. However, it's not recommended to move the dome during the day as it can take up to an hour to do so.
- We're more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our pricing or services.
- We will also invoice for the cost of parking and transportation into schools where we are not able to park on campus.
- The ideal number of shows we can accommodate in a school day is six, with each show lasting around 50-60 minutes. If more shows are requested, the time for each session would be adjusted down, with a minimum show time of 40 minutes.
- For corporate hire, prices and shows are flexible and subject to negotiation with Discovery Dome HK Ltd. The minimum call-out charge is typically $7500, but the final cost depends on the length and complexity of the required services. If workshop activities involving material usage are requested, the cost would be based on the complexity of the activity and materials used.
- We're a great addition to fundraisers and events. If you're interested in booking Discovery Dome for your event, please contact us. In return for free advertising space in any brochures or leaflets promoting your event, we are happy to offer Discovery Dome at a reduced daily rate.
