Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Lorne Ali, an experienced teacher who has been making a positive impact in Hong Kong for an impressive 22 years. For a significant portion of that time, specifically 16 years, I had the privilege of serving as a curriculum leader at Kellett School in Pokfulam. However, seven years ago, I embarked on an exciting new chapter by taking over the role of presenter for Discovery Dome, fulfilling my dream job.
I am truly passionate about creating engaging and memorable learning experiences for students. With Discovery Dome, I have been able to channel that passion and elevate it to new heights. Witnessing the sheer joy and wonder on the faces of enthusiastic young minds as they explore the realms of science and discovery is an absolute delight.

Rachel Ali

Curriculum design, marketing and events

​Hey there! I'm Rachel Ali, an experienced international school science teacher. Back in 2010, I had the vision to create something truly special, and that's when Discovery Dome came to life. For many years, I had the privilege of being the full-time presenter, delivering captivating shows and inspiring students.
About seven years ago, I was joined by the amazing Lorne, and together, we've taken Discovery Dome to new heights. While Lorne brings his expertise as a curriculum leader and presenter, I focus on designing all the programs, ensuring that each one delivers an educational and awe-inspiring experience. Besides program design, I also take charge of marketing and event planning, spreading the word about Discovery Dome and organising exciting events.
It's been an incredible journey so far, witnessing the joy and wonder on students' faces as they delve into the immersive world of science and exploration.
